The 1st squadron, I elected to mount them all except the colonel on palomino horses, really happy with my paint job, so simple to do with close Pelisse. Again Elite Miniatures.

Another battalion from my Silesian Landwehr, again from the 28mm Elite Range. This is the 3rd battalion with one more too go. I have elected to go with the smaller 60x60 basing, for this battalion, I will rebase the other two this coming week. Flags are GMB

Completed a Prussian artillery battery from the Prusse Regiment, the white epaulettes are the only distinctive element from 1812-14. Miniatures are 28mm from the Elite Miniatures range and are part of my second Division for my 1812-15 army.

As a homage to Waterloo I decided to complete another battery of artillery for my Prussian 1813-15 army. The miniatures are all metal Elite miniatures, which for me have a certain charm about them. I have painted these as first division guns with red epaulettes and turnbacks, I have a second battery underway which will join the second division. As the “Les Squigs” Laval Wargames Club is kicking into high gear this year for Napoleonic Wargaming (due to a cunning plan by Phillip and myself) we have regularly 6 of us playing games. I am planning on adding another brigade of Prussian infantry and cavalry to my collection.
I do need to take a better photo, I am in the middle of building a new light box as I hated my cardboard one….
It has been good for the mojo getting back to uniformed troops that is for sure, as I have been slogging away on a large batch of HYW archers…..which should be off the table during the week.
Cheers

Our second game of valour & fortitude, colour me impressed, we completed a 3 brigade game (2 infantry and 1 cavalry each) in under two hours after set up.
The rules are simple but do have enough nuances to make it interesting for me, but does get a result. I am loving the speed for morale degradation though the most, the crazy movement distances and interpenetration rules will catch you out if you are not looking for it also. Guns I feel are under powered as per most napoleonic rules, with only 1 die chance on a 4 plus at any distance canister at 18 inches has 2 dice. Otherwise very happy with them considering it is four pages long.
My French mates Philippe and Jean playing French/Nassau vs me. I have my current projects on the table my Prussian and Hanoverian armies.
