AT M6 - Star Wars All Terrain Mega caliber 6

First model off the desk for 2026 is an entry for the analogue painting challenge. The kit is a Bandai plastic model kit number 5064111. A nicely detailed and very simple assembly, no scale but I suspect around 1/500th scale standing 36m = 7.3cm tall, the body is similar in size to a hot wheels car.

What says empire more than the First Order! The All Terrain MegaCaliber Six (AT-M6), also known as the Gorilla Walker is a mobile heavy artillery walker used by the First Order. The biggest walker in the First Order's arsenal, the AT-M6 was much larger than the All Terrain Armored (AT-AT ) used by the Galactic Empire. Armed with a single Mega-Caliber Six turbolaser cannon mounted to its back for which the walker was named. It Is also equipped with two forward-mounted fire-linked heavy laser cannons, two cheek-mounted anti-ship medium laser cannons, and two sets of serrated cable cutters in the front legs to deter attempts at toppling the top-heavy walker. The walker also carried a targeting computer which analyzed the input from two sets of cockpit-mounted targeting sensor banks to deliver precise shots.

Really happy with the result, I tried to base the vehicle like the film on a salt crusted red planet as per the movie.

 Plans for 2026

For me quite a mix of projects this year on my list of ideas for 2026. My inner squirrel will possibly go off on other tangents as new shiny items come along as per normal……

• Main project 28mm French 1813 -14 campaigns a French Greatcoat Corps using the Victrix figures in great coat, 1 battalion of 40 Old Guard grenadiers and 1 battalion 40 Chasseurs, Middle Guard one battalion 40 Guard Fusiliers, one battalion 40 Fusilier Chassuers, and Young Guard one battalion of 40 Guard Tirailleur Fusiliers and 40 Tirailleur Chassuers. Then I have have 8 warlord greatcoat line battalions x 36 plus skirmishers. 20 x Victrix Chasseur a Cheval, 10 x Mamelukes (gringo 40), Mameluke Band 12 figs, 1 guard artillery battery of 4 guns in greatcoat, empress dragoons x40 (underway), lancers of the guard 30, and Grenadiers a Cheval 40 figures, command bases.

• 28mm Vendee Rebellion Skytrex and Perry miniatures Royal Catholic Army & Chouans 86 infantry figures 

• 28mm Vendee Rebellion French Skytrex and Perry miniatures, 6 battalions of 24, 12 cavalry, 6 regimental guns, command base.

• Additions to my Austrians 6 line battalions of 48, 2 x jager, 3 x grenadier battalions of 16 , 2 x Landwehr of 32, 32 Hussars, 1 battery of horse guns 

• Additions to my Prussian 1813-15 army using Elite and Calpe miniatures. Another two Hussar regiments of 12 figures each, two regiments of Landwehr lancers of 12 figures (commenced) three fusilier battalions of 32, 16 skirmishers, two musketeers battalions of 32, two reserve battalions of 32, one Landwehr battalion of 32. Command base of 4 mounted figures.

• Additions to my Baden Army, Piano and Emperors Toad/Murrawiski, 6 battalions of line infantry 36 figures, 18 skirmishers, one light infantry battalion 36, 12 Hussars, Baden life guard 6 figures. 

• Bavarian Army Victrix, Front Rank, 6 battalions of 24, one light infantry of 24, one Chassuers a Cheval 18 figures, one battery of guns, one command stand.

• 28mm Wurtemburg 1806 uniform Jolly Frog with Piano mounted officers, 4 battalions of 24

• 28mm 1812 Saxons, 24 fusilier figures and 8 grenadiers using Black Hussar miniatures to boost battalions to 36 and skirmishers, 18 Hussars, 1 battery of 3 guns and crew.

• Barons Wars 28 wargames Atlantic & Northstar figures 40 figures, underway

• 28mm Late Republican Roman Warlord 120 figures (still on the back burner I think) 

• 28mm Judge Dredd 30 figures underway, done in the next two weeks. 

• 28mm Terrain, additions to Ancients, Medieval & Napoleonic terrain.

• Desert Storm Iraqis 6 tanks, 12 APCs, 1 missile battery, and 1 aircraft 

• Desert Storm American 30 infantry and 7 Bradley APCs 

• Warpac Soviet Marines 90 figs (almost complete just a few to highlight) 3 x T55s base coated, 4 x PT76 base coated, 1 aircraft, two helicopters 

• Warpac 90 soviet infantry, 9 BTRs, 6 BDRM, 9 BMPs, tank regiment 15 T80s,  2 Shilka, 2 Nona, more aircraft!

• Egyptian Arab Isreali War- complete weathering trucks and APCs (80% complete) one helicopter, artillery battery.

XVIth Analogue Painting Challenge - plans

 XVIth Analogue Painting Challenge - plans 

I have entered the 16th analogue painting challenge again this year, I have elected to accept the challenge to paint 600 points worth of figures. 

I am planning on painting some 

• French Revolution, French regulars, national guard and cavalry, and Royalist Vendee and Chouans. Made up of a mix of Perry, Eureka and Revolutionary Armies figures. 
•  French Napoleonic - Victrix old and young guard for 1813-15. 
• Austrian Napoleonic - grenadiers and line fusiliers from Victrix and Revolutionary Armies. 
• Early War Miniatures Belgian 20mm WW2
• Classic GW figures 
• Judge Dredd figures from GW, Mongoose and Warlord Games.
• Star Wars ship as per every year. 
• An odd 20mm aircraft, maybe some ww1 and ww2.
