X Wing fighter Blue Leader

 Blue Leader

As this side project has been on desk since last month I thought I would get some paint on it. A Revell small kit of the iconic X Wing, a simple assembly. This chap with join my Star Wars collection. Painted, washed and highlighted in one day, I did not use the decals supplied though and went with my own paint scheme of blue.

Back to normal programming this week!

Cheers

Star Wars Revell Republic Gunshiip

 Republic Gunship

Another entry for the analogue painting challenge was a 1/172 Republic Gunship. A very quick and easy kit to assemble, airbrush, then assemble, panel lined then highlighted with brush with weathering of different colored panels. I went with a black and white theme. The body is about the size of a matchbox car with the wings sitting outside that. Really happy with the build and it wall join my growing completed Star Wars kits. Again Revell why the weird scale….

Star Wars Sith Scimitar

Star Wars Sith Infiltrator

The Scimitar, also known as the Sith Infiltrator, was a heavily modified Star Courier and the personal starship of Darth Maul. Along with its deadly armament, the Scimitar was equipped with a cloaking device, powered by rare stygium crystals from the planet Aeten II, that allowed it to disappear from view and any pursuing ship's sensors. Owing to the craft's experimental ion engines, which were of questionable design radiator fins on the ship's wings were required to be open during flight in order to expel excess heat.

The kit is Revell 1/285th scale so it fits two other models they make, I will use it for my own Galactic space rules I use. It was simple build, a quick airbrush and paintbrush job with a oil filter.

Another entry for the analogue painting challenge

Jedi Starfighter

Jedi Starfighter

In the December pre Christmas sales, I picked up three Revelle Star Wars1/80th kits for five euros each. Overall they were very simple, with clear instructions and easy to fit components for construction. I base coated the main colours with a brush, completed the pilots and interior, and assembled the kit.  Then completed the painting, blacklining, added transfers and finished with a clear coat. All up about 4 hours work.

Over the last 20 years I have a collected plastic kits for a fleet of spaceship in various scales, they will join my aircraft in their display cabinet and may come out for a game one day........ I really enjoy a quick fun game in the evening with guests, and StarWars and WW1 Aircraft, Naval Dreadnoughts are part of our collection on offer at French Warames Holidays.

I have had fun trialing a new App, for the background of the photos. It is not perfect but certainly does the job, to give the photos a fresh context and works ok.

Cheers
